Operating Frenzy!

So being ueber cool development guys we are, here @ Sourcing. We’ve decided to have an install fest of the least used and most security focused operating systems.

Chris has chosen Plan 9 OS (which seems to be removed of the Bell Labs site)
Andre has ventured for OpenBSD (btw. he’s never installed linux before muahuahua *i think*)

Me, well I’m settling for Inferno (which is a NOS) and possibly OpenBSD 3.9 cause its been so long.

Great day!

Oooh and I bought a new book from O’reilly of Course:

Programming ASP.NET (Gr8t book)

Wooohoo: Upgraded my Dapper to Edgy Eft

Well it was scary but I did it. I am not running Kubuntu Edgy Eft. What can I say but thats its beautiful, sexy….*Rrrrrrrrr*

So as usual, KDE looks very very sexy. The boot up screen as well has changed and now looks much slicker. I had major problems with the previous bootup screen mostly cause my laptop has a pathetic screen. Looks like something out of a horror movie….

Anyways not much more to say then that right now, still need to play a bit.

Overall I’m quite excited and amazed at the sheer breeze at which I did the update.

Have a good weekend, over and out!

Released: PppKeep

Well today is just another beautiful day….

Was a bit bored over the weekend and while playing with my 3G card, i decided, I hate PPP Accounting and wanted to get my own KB usage program. So I wrote one in C. Its to be included (or rather executed) in Kppp just before disconnection. Its basically a log file of sorts but manipulates /proc/net/dev.

I am trying to get back to the roots of programming (as I call it), hacking the Linux kernel with C.

Anyways. On the rebound.
