Poem: Are you winning Through?

Are you winning through Christian?
Are you winning through?
When the storms of life are raging
Are you winning through?

Upon the wind there comes a call,
a trumpet in the air;
faces turn all around me,
with fear and despair.
The hour is upon us, the enemy draws near;
My feet and hands are shaking but I’m girded up in prayer!

Are you winning through Christian?
Are you winning through?
When the storms of life are raging?
Friend, are you winning through?

The enemy beats on the gate, their voices loud and clear;
They beat with all their might, with hearts filled with hate;
I look at those beside me, as they take a few steps back;
But I’m clinging on to Jesus now, I won’t make that mistake.

Are you winning through Christian?
Are you winning through?
When the storms of life are raging?
Soldier, are you winning through?

The gates bursts now open, the enemy charging in;
My body fear has taken; and hour us forsaken;
I see those tremble near me as the hoard cometh nigh;
As I take two steps forward, I shout, Onward for the High;
I charge into the battle, My Savior won’t deny;
For though this war may take me; my soul on Him rely;
For “eternal life” is promised, to a heaven I will go;
where the Angels sing hosanna songs, and the Lord God – face to face shall know;
I sway my sword, I give my best, I lay my body down;
for never shall the charged be laid; that I lost “heaven’s” ground.

Are you winning through Christian?
Are you winning through?
When the storms of life are raging?
Child of God, are you winning through?
